Donations to continue our mission
Familia Center depends to a large extent on the generosity of our community to continue providing quality services. A vital part of our finance strategy is to raise funds for Familia's programs. Very often valuable programs are terminated or emerging needs go unmet because of lack of funding. Long-term change and positive development in the population we serve is only successful if we can provide on-going support and services.
With your help, we can ensure that Familia Center continues to assist youth, families and low income people improve their quality of life. For example if you wish to earmark your donation to our youth program here is a sample of what you will be funding;
- For $30 dollars 10 youth can roller skate for an afternoon
- $50 dollars will pay for 25 youth to bowl for one game
- $100 will provide of snacks for our youth program for one month
- A gift of $500 will fund all the field trips locally in the summer
- $1000 will fund materials, for 6 weeks in the summer. Our goal is to raise $5000 for 2 three-week sessions that will provide lunch, a snack, educational trips to local museums, materials and supplies for 50 youth this summer.
If you would like to help us fight hunger in Santa Cruz here is how your donation will help;
- $30 will buy three 50 lb. bags of beans or four 50 lb. bags of rice (for 3 distributions)
- $50 will buy 3 cases of tuna (72 cans)
- $100 will provide supplies for the program for 3 months
- $200 will purchase 150 chickens (once a year)
- $1000 will provide rice, beans, tuna, peanut butter and canned fruits and vegetables for 3 months or 6 distribution.
If you want to help us continue to advocate for safe housing, fair employment practices and access to health care;
- $100 will cover the premiums of health insurance for one child for one year.
- $200 will help with cost of postage, copying, phone and office supplies for 2 months.

Donations of food, clothing and other items
We accept donations of non perisable food items such as canned vegetables, fruit, tuna, and peanut butter. We also accept clean used clothing in good condition. We do not accept furniture or appliances. Donations are accepted Monday-Friday from 9-12 and 1-5 pm.
